Who we are

Input Labs (“Input,” “we,” “us”) is a research lab working on new modalities of human-computer interaction. This policy describes how we handle information when you use input.cx and the accounts and services we provide.

What we collect

• Account. Email, username, and a hashed password. We send mail when you reset a password.
• Session. Sign-in tokens stored in your browser so you stay signed in.
• What you provide. Content and details you save or send through the service.
• Site preference. Light or dark theme on this website.

How we use it

We use this information to run your account, operate the service, send password-reset mail, and keep things working. We do not sell your personal information.

• We never train models on your data.
• We never sell your data or use it for ads.
• When you disconnect a service like Gmail, we delete what we kept from it, such as copied mail and events, and stop reading it.
• Passwords in your vault are never sent in texts and never included in exports.

Who we share with

We send data to companies that help us operate Input, only as needed for that work: hosting, authentication, storage, and providers that process content to return a response. We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect Input, our users, or others.

How long we keep it

We keep account and service data while your account is active, until you delete it. You can delete everything, or your whole account, at any time from Account in your dashboard, or by writing to hey@input.cx.

Your choices

You can update your username and sign out from your account. At any time, from Account in your dashboard, you can download a copy of everything we keep for you, disconnect any service, delete all of your data while keeping your account, or delete your account. You can also ask us to correct your information. If you are in a place with additional privacy rights, we will honor requests that apply.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Input after a change means you accept the updated policy.
